The Match Up!

I was out taking photos this morning when I came across this match up. The magpie and the noisy miner are both aggressive but, on its own, the miner lacks a little courage. If you look closely, the magpie has caught a cicada which it has nearly eaten; you can just see its green wing on the ground.

In the end after the miner moved around the magpie a couple of times then gave up and flew away. The magpie finished breakfast.
