Sunday Seasons - almost winter

I am a much happier little Vegemite than yesterday. We had a lovely lunch at friends of ours then we all went to their relatives who live nearby for coffee and cake.
On the way home I asked Hubby to stop at a lake by the highway that we often pass. I haven´t been there before as I wasn´t sure how to access it by road. There is a tiny fishing clubhouse which looked so cosy with smoke coming out of the chimney into the mist. This image is in colour and shows how grey (and cold) it was.
The wooden structure here is for access to the outlet of the lake. The vertical metal rod at the end is turned to open a sluice to drain the water out. This is done in autumn by the lake owners, who may be private or part of a cooperative, to catch fish to sell and return the breeding and juvenile fish to the lake.
