Trifecta

Three native birds in a row - bellbird, waxeye and tui.

This guy was hanging out on the flax, having a feed of nectar. Note the flax pollen covering his beak and forehead. The tui are always such a surprise when you see all their colours in the right light because usually they just appear black with white highlights.

Thank you all so much. I was amazed to see yesterday's waxeye sitting in top space on spotlight for a while today - I've seen very few of my photos there! What a buzz - or a 'peep' in the words of the bird.
