Please sir.....can I have some more?

Mr A decided this morning that we should go out on the bike before the weather turned for the worse.

However, he got as far as the garage door then decided it was way 'too frickin cold', so we stayed in, cuddled under a blanket and watched the final film in the Millennium trilogy!

Before settling down to watch the film, we watched the garden....it was a hive of activity today.

Magpies, tits, finches, thrushes and a robin all flitting about and then squirrels joined in for good measure.

They've done nothing except eat....all day! We put plenty of peanuts out for them and they've been going mad for them.
They know we hide them in the chimney pots (to keep the pigeons away) so there's usually a mad scrap to get in there.

Yesterday we had 6 squirrels all running amok in the garden; one of whom we noticed has a really stubby tail, it doesn't seem to hinder his balance though.

This cheeky one regarded us for a moment, then carried on eating.

We've started to shake the peanut container when we go outside now & the squirrels seem to know what it is; they congregate on the fence until we've left the food for them.

We throw some around the garden so they still have to forage, but the magpies tend to swoop on those too.

Tonight we are going to watch another movie and have chinese food. This weekend has gone too quickly :-(
