Dressed for a funeral

Was Ady's Aunty Joy's funeral yesterday. She died at the weekend age 82 after a 5 year cancer journey. A traditional catholic funeral with lovely eulogies from the family. She will be much missed - her zest for life, her sense of humour and her love of her family especially.

Was not an easy day for me - emotions quite close to the surface. The social aspect of talking with extended family, with various degrees of awareness of my journey was tricky. Plus it turned out to be a long day. We also had an appointment with the Nurse Maude Dr about my pain relief and other errands to do in town. Didn't get home until nearly 8pm.

I really need to learn to pace myself....
