Ready to pounce........

This fellow was sitting on my rowan tree this morning and I took a few shots of him silhouetted against the sky. I waited for AGES for him to fly off so I could catch him in flight - my eyes got sore from keeping from blinking. Naturally when I couldn't hold back the blink any longer he flew off! However, he settled on the roof of next-door's birdfeeder and that was better because he wasn't silhouetted and the camera caught the texture of his feathers and grey beak quite nicely.

Will have to look through my wardrobe today - office reunion this evening in Beiderbecks in Dundee. Hope it doesn't snow!
