The pies in Devizes are really quite nice.

I was bewitched by the display of these in Jack Spratt's sandwich shop window. If you're there soon enough after a delivery the window is full of what looks like pastry printer dies, or printer pies if you will. This picture is taken from inside the shop, to avoid reflections from the window. I can vouch for the pies too, the Ham hock, black pudding and pea, and Beef, stout and horseradish went down very well indeed at lunchtime today.

While I'm feeling generous with my endorsements, the pies are made by Lovetts who are based in Bristol.
