Verrerie d'Art, Soisy sur École

Saturday
This morning we drove over to the village of Soisy sur École, on the other side of Fontainebleau to the glassmaking workshop there, to look for a couple of Christmas gifts. We found what we wanted, plus a beautiful necklace for me (!), then went on to the nearby village of Courances to their Christmas market. My blip is of one of the windows of the showroom at the glass workshop. We had done this same trip the equivalent weekend last year, but whereas last year we had quite pleasant weather and so a lovely drive through the countryside, today was grey, cold and wet. I felt sorry for the stall holders at the Christmas market - they all looked cold, and I'm sure they wouldn't be doing as much business as they would had it been a nice sunny winters day. We had been planning to get something to eat at the market, but we needed to go to the neighboring larger village of Milly la Forêt to get some more cash out, and so instead we had lunch at a recently opened sushi restaurant, which I had been to previous to last month's book club which was being held out that way.
