Lemons and Berries

We spent the day in Fredericksburg, Virginia, which was previously only known to us as an exit on the highway that we have passed many times. Today we decided to actually visit this historic Revolutionary and Civil War town and we were quite charmed.

Fredericksburg was where George Washington grew up and his siblings and his mother, Mary, remained there. I saw this lovely arrangement in the sunlight in Mary Washington's home. It seemed perfect for today's prompt "Still Life." If you want to, have a look in LARGE.

I have resisted posting another blip of a squirrel, but will post a link here so you can see this cute little critter. He was standing at my kitchen window staring at me for the longest time. We were very close except for the glass between us.
