Looking South to Brämön

I'm on top of beacon hill (Vårdkasberget) looking south to the southern end of the South Sound and on the horizon is the island of Brämön, about 60 km south of Härnön.
So, as you can see the air is clear but otherwise it's a fairly uninspiring day.  This is taken at noon so this is as light as it gets on a cloudy day.
There are few things as untidy looking as a ski-slope without snow and that is what you are seeing in the foreground. What sort of a winter is this? No sea ice, no snow, mostly temperatures above zero - it is all very uninspiring!
Things are looking up slightly. The ten day forecast promises us temperatures below freezing the whole time (that's good in case you were wondering)  and we may get 5 cm of snow spread over the whole period. That's a derisory amount of snow but when you have no snow at all that is almost worth celebrating.
There is quite a contrast with a springtime blip, taken from the same spot but looking in the opposite direction, north.
Will we have the second green Christmas in a row?  I'll let you know!
