Pigeon's oasis

He receives a mail urging recipients to keep a pail of water for birds on their balconies. The burning summer is already claiming many lives. He decides do so, but then desists. The pigeons, that hole up on top of the air conditioner in the balcony fly away as soon as anyone enters, but have ample supply of water from the pool. They sit by the banks and dip their beaks in whenever they can. They have discovered an oasis in the middle of dusty arid land.

Before he decides to photograph the pigeon upon the sill, he arrives silently and slowly. He waits before lifting the camera until the pigeon is comfortable in his presence. Then it is becomes a simple quick press of the shutter.

He decides not to wait till the end of the day. Perhaps he will add some more text to this, and perhaps not. He doesn't know.
