Open Arms

We are looking at a bunny's eye view of a giant saguaro cactus.

This plant (or tree) has a diameter of almost two feet at the base. It is nearly 50 feet tall and has two beautifully formed arms. Saguaros don't start to grow arms until they are about 75 years old. This one must have been a youngster more than 100 years ago, before the time that Arizona became one of the United States.

His arms are open in welcome to all us Gringos from the Midwestern Great Lakes Region.
