Wild strawberry

Suddenly these wee wild strawbs are in bloom. We let them run all over the back border at the allotment, as ground cover beneath the border plants. Later, they will provide weeks of tiny berries, but such intense flavour and sweetness.
It's really not worth the effort of collecting them to bring home, so we just grab a palmfull and scoff them like sweets :)

After M's curtailed trip to the allotment today, I went up later. By a very pleasant coincidence, JimH called to say he was clearing the garage and had the skeleton of a greenhouse which he dropped off. We'll get the glass later.
