A cock chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs) sat in a gean (Prunus avium)

A study at Sheffield University has found summer now starts 16 days earlier than it used to in the 50s (in terms of warmth and summer flowers first blooming etc) It's usually about this date; and today was certainly very summery, a cloudless blue sky all day and warm :)
