A slice of Lesley's life

All over

It will come as no surprise to those of you further down the child-rearing track, or perhaps any of you, that the sleep-over was more over than sleep. Everyone settled down eventually but then the grown-ups foolishly decided to follow suit...

Still, lots of fun had by all even if a slightly slow start to the morning. Once our guests had left, packed a bag, rallied the troops and headed off on an elephant hunt. This is a selection, with most of the pics taken by my blip assistant for the day, J. Elephant Parade is a conversation campaign aimed at raising awareness of, and funds for, the endangered Asian elephants. There are over 250 elephants all over London decorated by various artists. Today we found around 40 - mainly 'happy herds' in Hyde Park and Green Park.

Despite the heat of another incredible summer's day and the slight undersleptness all round, it was a lot of fun just wandering around, picking up food and drink as the mood took us, and with no timetable. Was a day for really appreciating living in London and enjoying some of what it has to offer when it is at its very bestest.

Back home now and all a little weary. Early nights all round I'm guessing.
