The girls were both out and about today so Nick and I had some time together. It was another scorcher so it was a slow day, which was probably what we both needed. With everyone home by early evening, Nick cooked a rather fine meal and I rustled up a quick rhubarb fool for dessert. You cannot beat good food and banter at the table.
