Fishing bullheads

We decided to spend our second weekend at our summer cottage as a family of three. This time my parents and us got visitors - a friend of mine & his family spent the weekend with us.

We decided to try to fish some flounders with nets. In the picture my parents are just about to lay down the nets.

We told to the visitors that we could get as many as 30 flounders. We have, we really have. That's not a fishing tale.

Probably we had forgotten why we have not been fishing with nets for a few years. On saturday morning there were almost 20 european bullheads, the ugliest fish there is in the Finnish waters.

Some say that tails of those little creatures would make a good soup. We have never tried.
