Taqeef

Imagine my surprise when I walked into the department to see a spanky new air-conditioner ('taqeef' in Arabic) sitting proudly on the wall of the staff room. Before prematurely wetting myself with excitement, I asked for the remote control so that I could switch it on.

That was not going to be possible, I was informed.

The electrics haven't been sorted out yet.

When will the electrics be sorted out?
