Frosty Flora

Another frosty morning greeted us.  I drove Daughter E to Christchurch and the countryside was stunning.  The frost was glistening in the sunlight, cows and sheep were quietly grazing on hay.  There was a fine mist just below the level of the trees and the shadows were long.  To the west the mountains were draped in sun and the snow was pure white against the vibrant blue sky - a stunning sight.

On the way home I called into a park and took some shots focusing on light and frost. This one was a favourite, I instantly liked the subtle blues and greens with the odd bit of golden and beautiful white.  I liked the structure of the flax in the centre outlined by the frost and the sun beyond - Frosty Flora in the morning light.
