Humming bird hawk moth

We were walking high in the Rhodopi mountains with stunning scenery, but today's blip has to go to this image of a humming bird hawk moth. I had never seen one before and was delighted that the camera manage to catch this image. There was no opportunity for a second one!
These thistles were very prolific and many different insects were feasting on them.
