Marjorie's ramblings

The house cow

I met so many lovely women in Yagodina. In the mornings they milk the cows and then take them to join the other village cows as they head for the meadows. The women wear many layers of colourful clothes. That seems appropriate for the chilly mornings, but I notice that they seem to keep the same clothes on all day, even in the midday heat when the temperature was in the high 20s. We were all struggling with the heat then.
