Should really be getting on with this life.turns project... maybe if we could upload a life.turns image AND a normal blip... maybe manyana....

Haven't posted any insect pics this year yet so popped on the safari suit and hat and spent a pleasant afternoon bee hunting today. Fascinating beasties so they are. They seem to like the lavender in this pot here most and it was a proper hive of activity with various flavours of bees constantly flitting about the flowers and loading up with pollen. Think I confused them a bit though when I moved the pot more into the sunshine to get a bit more light. I always thought it was sight or smell they used to navigate but the strange thing was after I moved the plant the bees still shuttled back initially to the original spot. They then circled around the spot, gradually looping out further and further until they located the flowers. Seems like I buggered up their Sat-Nav system for a bit.

Off (hopefully) with a few other local blippers on a photo walk around Stirling tomorrow morning and expect to see a few related blips from this and from the other walks going on around the world tomorrow.
