Lichen and a Magic Raindrop

I didn't notice the rain drop until after I'd taken a photo of the lichen on an old discarded glass door. It was out of focus so I went back and had another go.

This morning I was awakened by the thrush singing loud and clear outside my bedroom window. I couldn't believe that I'd slept so well throughout the night. Pale light filtered through the curtains, which meant it must be after 7 am, so I got up. The heavy low cloud of the last few days had lifted and a thin fog glowed brightly in the moonlight. It was 2 am. I went back to bed, but for the next half hour the thrush, not having a reliable clock, continued his joyous proclamation of the dawn.

Quite good in large.
