On the up...

The location of my current employers seems to have brought about a rack of "first time I've actually been here" blips. I don't live in Edinburgh but college and work over the last two decades has found me in the capital most days of the week. So I find it strange that today was the very first time I ventured up onto Calton Hill.

Leaving the office at 1pm I was standing at the top after only eight or nine minutes and wondering at the view. The weather was perfect and if its remotley nice next week i reckon I'll be back up most lunch times. Wonderful :)

First easy target on Calton Hill is the National Monument and behind it Nelson's Monument.
