Marjorie's ramblings

Leave now!

Today I joined a group of women to do a 10 mile circular walk from Once Brewed. We went north to Steel Rigg, then east along a spectacular stretch of Hadrian's Wall to Housesteads and King's Wicket turning back to the north west from there, picking up the Pennine Way, skirting the north of Greenlee Lough and then on the board walk and the permissive path back towards Gibbs Hill Farm.
We saw a lot of sheep whilst on the permissive path. This one amused me greatly: the sheep stood on a low wall and shouted at us to "go away", then walked along the wall to make sure we left the area. Hilarious (but I guess you had to be there.....)
