Sunlit Grass

This is a view of part of our yard (shared by the three condominium units). The trees are poplars, planted about 3 years ago, by our next door neighbor. They aren't the most elegant, and as such they remind me of the much older (and scrappier) poplars that bordered our yard as I was growing up nearly sixty years ago.

It was about 5:45 this afternoon. The temperature was about 90 F (32 C), with light wind and (blessedly) relatively low humidity; it's been roughly this hot for a couple of weeks.

We're about ten minutes walk from the center of Northampton, Mass., and we love being so close to the center of such an interesting small town.
