Passing in the fog

Today was an interesting day. The sun was shining over Victoria, but when I looked out over the Juan de Fuca Strait, the water and the Olympic Mountain Range was covered in fog. The scene was very surrealist with the fog partially obscuring the large container ships passing by on the American side. While I was trying to capture the feeling of the fog, a sailboat came by on the Canadian side and was lit by the sun. I had to wait patiently for the sailboat to travel down the strait and line up with one of the container ships so I could capture the contrast of the two ships as they passed in the fog.
