Digging 17: My Little Kingdom

This is my area of the site, kind of by default,surrounded by the green modesty screens.
You can see three drain-trenches running into the distance, and another pipe-trench being cleaned by a new digger, Leigh (this is not the most flattering angle, or the most flattering hat ;)
In fact, with the mechanical digger working on site, we have to wear the hard-hats all day, and it's pretty horrible...especially as they tend to fall off as you lean over to trowel.)
Speaking of hats, you can just see the top of Hannah's orange helmet poking out of the sondage (I hope she was kneeling!). These are the boring bits of the area.
The exciting archaeology is all in the left half....
Beside the bucket and spray are graves 1, 2 and 3, and the white tags in the left foreground are where I found the coins.
Anyway, that's the last I'll see of site for a few days, we're off to Belgium :))))
