Ghostly Goings-on

Life is rarely boring when Mathew's around. Even simple mundane tasks like changing the bed become fun with his random sense of mischief and mayhem.

That helped brighten my difficult Sunday. I was absolutely knackered today. Last night's chinese didn't agree with me at all :( was awake until after 4AM, and then had to get up for work again before 9. As well as lack of sleep, was still feeling pretty rough all day, meaning that the first half of the day I was nowhere near as productive as I needed to be to make up for Saturday's debacle. Still, got through most of what needed done, and am hopeful that next week will be better!

We had a grand snooze on the couch after a lush light dinner. Woke up to find that the film Twister was on. Watched the last 20 mins or so. Never realised that a) I've never seen more than 3 mins at a time of that film, and b) it's such utter Crap! Oh well!

Back to ghostliness, we believe our flat to be haunted, particularly the bedroom. When we first moved here, we visited an old manor house call llanciach fawr, which is reputed to be very haunted (Most Haunted if you will, as an episode of the TV series was shot there). We heard a story about one ghost called Thomas - a little boy who occasionally would follow visitors back to their home. When some weird stuff started happening we joked that it must be Thomas. Now whenever weird stuff happens we still blame Thomas (though we don't really believe it's the same Thomas).

To start with most of the stuff happened around Mathew. Curtains waving in a breeze that didn't exist and things like that. Then weird stuff started happening when I was here too - such as doors that were locked when we went to bed being mysteriously open when we woke (but with the latch still set in the 'locked' position, which would have prevented us from closing the door at bed-time if it was our mistake!) Then also recently when Mathew hasn't been here, such as the iron being turned off at the socket while I've been using it, and all the kitchen cupboard doors being open when I get home... although it's feasible I may leave one open when I left, I would never leave them ALL open!

There's nothing malicious about it, and it seems to come and go... just another example of what makes our strange and peculiar little flat so interesting!

For anybody that's interested, here's a link to yesterday's backblip.
