Swimming Against The Tide

Little Puddings

Life started to return to "normal" (whatever that is round here) yesterday. The alarm went in the morning, the Wonderspouse went off to work, and I did some housework and proper jobs (got the the 3G working on my phone again, rang my mother, ordered the RIAT 2010 DVD, etc etc).

However, the day ended in Bristol. The Wonderspouse had meetings there (his job has occasional commitments in both Bristol and Manchester) and so I went to meet him for supper and to have a bit of time together.

We went for supper at Cosmo, which is one of my fave restaurants and I took this picture of some of the gorgeous little desserts on display. We dined amply (it's an "eat as much as you wish buffet" type establishment) on sushi, Chinese, Thai, and the wonderful selection of desserts! Yummy!

Afterwards we went for a stroll round Bristol, which was enjoying some evening sun, before returning to our hotel room.

We also made a big decision, which we'd been thinking about for several days. Since Athena's death we've heard of two cats who need new homes (one is a young man who's currently living in a flat in London who really needs some outdoor space and the other is a young lady currently living with a disabled person who feels that she is no longer able to look after her, especially as the cat is long haired and needs some furcare). We made the decision, after considerable deliberation, that we would take them both. Arrangements for their moves will now be made - the young lady will arrive first as there is some urgency owing to a house move, and the young gentleman will follow shortly afterwards!

So, although we're still missing our gorgeous girl, and she will never be replaced, we're now excited and looking forward to having some young blood in the family again. I shall, of course, blip pictures of Smudge and Dexter once they have moved in with us!
