Do you think it'll be alright if we sit here!!

Today has been a cold, grey miserable day, made worse by a visit to the hospital for a blood test, before my son saw his consultant oncologist. I always dread these visits as you are never quite sure whether you are going to be told any good news or more bad news.

As we had a bit of time to spare between appointments, we went and had a coffee, in a nice little cafe. We had just sat down when a full blown argument occurred between the owner and a customer. Apparently, the customers were from Sydney, and were not at all happy with the speed of the service!. The customers got quite abusive, and eventually the owner called the police (who needless to say didn't turn up) The customers eventually left without getting the refund they demanded!

I think the people from Sydney are not quite used to our laid back ways here on the Gold Coast!!

Anyway, this bit of entertainment lightened our mood a bit and the news from the oncologist was pretty uneventful, which was good.

These chairs are in the car park behind the hospital, for people waiting for lifts or taxis. (Not sure if I'd want to sit in one though!)
