On the Boardwalk

The evening sun is lighting the clouds, brightening the blues, the reds, the greens all around town. The car takes a detour to the Coos Bay Boardwalk, the Innkeeper gets out of the car and walks across the street where sailing vessels float peacefully in the brilliantly lit water against the vibrant blue sky. The cell phone is all she's got, but she's grateful. In just a few brief moments, the tensions of the day fade, the Innkeeper whose day job is tedious, has forgotten the rest. The mellow sounds from a wind instrument float across the docks and out over the water. She looks for the source, then looks again. Where are they hiding? The bench, on the boardwalk. Peacefully sitting and playing, she spies him. He is the background music for this silent photo. She is satisfied.
