book fest

ian rankin tonight - not a bad event, tho he's not got a new book (just new paperback) so not quite the same.

the book fest is so much more civilised than the fringe - if the charlotte square tents can have aircon, why can't the fringe venues??? got tickets for a few events here and nowt else yet this year, am just a bit *meh* about the whole thing somehow. too many people, too expensive, too underwhelming somehow.

nice to get a dose of literaryness at the end of a bugger of a day tho.
