stressful trying to get out of work on time, but worth the rush when what's awaiting is stuart macbride and denise mina. if you haven't, you should read SM - crime novels set in aberdeen, plus one 'stuart b macbride' called 'halfhead' which is definitely not sci-fi, it just happens to be set in the near future. it's well worth picking up if you like crime or slightly speculative fiction (and the more he can sell of it the more likely there is to be another one, so do it!).

at the signing afterwards i was goading him into writing another one even if his publisher didn't like it, and this inscription is what i got in return...
