Picnic Day in Spring

Mum and I had a picnic lunch while Daughter E had her dance lesson.
We found a nice quiet spot away from the traffic by a little brook. It was so warm with the sun upon our backs and very restful. Neither of us have been sleeping during the last week so a little bit of relaxation and sun was the order of the day.
After our picnic we followed the little brook meandering and rippling through trees and native bush. The brook was so clear we could see the little stones and weeds, had wondered if we might come across our Black Swan family but not today. Our native birds were calling, Bellbirds, Fantails and Pukekos.

Thought it was time I did another reflection shot - you know how I love them! There are still some bare trees as Spring is still very young, the sky was bright blue with a few clouds and the air quite calm.
As I type now a low cloud has come in, the sun completely gone and its turned cold, rain is expected for the next few days - glad we had Picnic Day earlier on today. Thanks Mum, lovely to share this time with you :)
