Dutch Skies

The Helper

Changeable weather today: clouds, rain and wind but also blue skies and sun. I drove around looking for photo opportunities but wasn't really successful. I ended up at the Paterswoldsemeer, a small lake near the city of Groningen. I knew colleague and fellow blipper Niels was on this location before. He blipped a stunning sunset shot that can be found here.

The windmill in this shot is called 'Helper'. The name is related to 'Helpman', the area of Groningen where the windmill used to be located. The mill, a polder mill, was relocated in 1970.

The image is HDR, created using Photomatix Light. I used one raw image and created three input images for Photomatix from that.

Definitely better bigger!
