Clearing Up Nicely

Just over a year ago these warts were much more obvious. Nature's done its best to clear them up in the preceding 13 months and they're no longer bad.

In fact, this piece of graffiti is itself turning into a nice piece of public art, with it's own statement to make on the fastidious and clinical nature of the commissions appearing on the highways and byways all over the country. Possibly.

Talking of unsightly growths I thought the story doing the rounds today surrounding the Carbunkle Awards was an inspired piece of awareness raising on the part of the residents of Denny, the town in Stirlingshire that asked for the award to be given to them after John O'Groats took the huff and refused to accept it. Although some residents might not be best happy the town has been awarded the Plook-on-the-Plinth the amount of media coverage this has raised should hopefully make the local council sit up and get their finger out to fulfil the promises they failed to deliver on last year.

More power to the plook!
