Verdict was announced for about half a century old legal case today. It was regarding a dispute among a few religious sects regarding ownership of a piece of land. At the crux of the whole issue was where was Lord Rama born. Epics talk about an ancient city Ayodhya, that exists even in the modern world. The fight was over a claim on the exact location in the the piece of land in question. So the high court today confirmed that the Lord was indeed born at the claimed place. The whole issue was quite sensitive from a religious perspective and given the history of such cases, everyone was extra-cautious. Our office closed a few hours earlier than usual so that people can reach home safely before any possible trouble crops us. Same was the case for most of the offices and institutions across the country. So the 'would have been' trouble mongers succeeded in disrupting normalcy without even doing anything.

On the flip side, it came as a blessing in disguise for most people. Came back home, picked up some snacks from the store, watched TV, played some tennis and all that before the time I would generally reach home from office on a normal working day. This is how day should be - with lot of time to do things that one likes to, apart from work. But again, I am probably being too ambitious. Tomorrow will be business as usual...
