My Year in Pictures

Nessie? In Cornwall?

Backblipped on 1st October

Well after 2 glorious days we had rain today!

But we're on holiday so this wasn't going to stop us!

Off to Falmouth for a wee wander followed by fish and chips from Rick Steins takeaway - plus a wee battered oyster to try - very delicious!

Then to Trebah Gardens which was quite simply brilliant! And a blippers paradise to boot!

Been to a few gardens in Cornwall and this definitely ranked up there with the best - amazing gardens right down to the beach - glorious views even in the rain - very doggy friendly (though they don't yet know he ended up in the Koi-Carp pool - oops!) - and a fabulous collection of plants.

Huge numbers of hydrangea's - slightly past their best but still a wonderful array of pastels.

Giant rhubarb - a bit ugly really.

Loads of bamboo - in fact they have a "Bamboozle" - a maze of 39 varieties!

Some magic mushrooms.

Gorgeous flowers.

And lots of water droplets - not surprising really given the rain!

Then we had our drinks with Sir Ferrers - which was really rather nice - quite an amazing guy actually - much younger than we thought - only just turned 50 - and completely committed to making Trelowarren the lead in sustainable tourism.

But as we?re on holiday and having fun, Nessie won the day! - plus trying to decide amongst all the others got too difficult as I loved so many of them! - this was James's fav - and this was mine.
