Rhododendron #2

President Roosevelt named after Theodore Roosevelt 26th President of the United States.

Its a busy Rhododendron that almost looks to much when in flower, as the big flowers tend to clash with the lovely green and yellow varigated foliage. The foliage comes 'alive' during the winter rains bringing a dreary patch in the garden to life. The leaves have a wonderful shine and vibrance.  I love the structure of the stamens against the pure white of the flower with the vibrant pink frilled edges.

Busy day today moving beds. Daughter E has a new bed which looks quite comfy. We measured it when we considered getting it and yes it would fit her room perfectly but on getting it home the base is alot lower than her previous bed so now her powerboard won't fit - funny how you can plan things with good intentions and one little thing can upset everything. All is sorted now thanks to hubby, just hope Daughter E likes it!

I had great intentions to garden but haven't got there - another day tomorrow eh!
Another natural shot - straight from the camera.
Have a great Monday :)
