Stencil seen in Hampstead

I don't know what this refers to but it was an arresting piece of graffiti that I spotted on a wall in Flask Walk. It stopped me in my tracks anyway and seemed a good subject for a blip.
Ah! Thanks to Google I find that it's a quote from Mark Twain.
