Calypso

My first morning out alone with camera in hand: seaweed, wrenched from its firm anchor on the seabed, litters the beach and decorates this small sailing cruiser with a bedraggled fringe of browns and pinks. On the edge of the sea, waders feast, while a large flock of starling wheel in harmony and then settle to enjoy the insect bonanza in the heaps of rotting weed.
