Gillipaw's Journal

Bad Hair Day

Not me thank goodness, but this poor bear, who became the subject of much discussion in the office today. I do think he needs a bit of tidying up, and there were threads showing on his hoodie too.

Awoke to the sound of the BBC Radio Scotland Weather Reporter saying that the A939 Tomintoul to Cockbridge road had snow and there was sleet in the glens. A discussion then began between BA and I about why the BBC should suddenly decide to say Tomintoul to Cockbridge and not Cockbridge to Tomintoul ... it was ever thus, and sounded most odd stated the "wrong" way round. For those not "in the know", it is the first road in Scotland to be blocked due to snow, and is a regular feature of weather and road reports for several months of the year.

Very early for Winter to arrive, we've hardly had time to enjoy the Autumn colours. Thankfully Glasgow only had a little frosting on the leaves and roof tiles. By sundown it was raining ... heavily.
