Adventures

Today is a public holiday for the Melbourne Cup Horse Race. We decided not to go down to Mum and Dad's and stay here instead. We had thought about going on an adventure to the Hazelwood Cooling Ponds which are about 1hr 20mins away but by the time we got organised and were ready to go it was already 10am so we thought that it was too late.

Instead we decided on a different adventure and went into Warragul and spent some time at the park. It was a rainy and somewhat cold day today but we all rugged up and took a spare change of clothes for Spence! We had a look at the ducks near the pond, walked on the path through the trees down past a couple of mini waterfalls and over a couple of bridges then had our fruit under the bbq area!

We came home, had lunch then Spence went to bed for just over 2 hours. He still isn't quite himself and is still whingey which is driving us up the wall! He started again as soon as he got up so we went downstairs and put a coat of varnish on our boot-taker-offer-a that we made yesterday. By then it had stopped raining so we got all rugged up again for our next adventure and drove to Glen Nayook where there is a rain forest type walk that is only about 500 metres to the bottom. Spence did really well only wanting to be picked up near the end where it was quite steep!

We had beautiful home made mini pizzas for tea which Spence actually ate all of (he hasn't been eating well) and Spence is in bed where he will hopefully sleep all night after all the adventures we went on today! Back to work tomorrow, I am doing a course so that I can operate the Water Tanker for the next two days so that should be good!

This is Spence on our rain forest adventure and also a macro of a fern frond I saw along the way.
