Gore Bay, NZ

Our family has been so busy that it was time to touch base and have some family time together.

The morning greeted us with blue sunny skies and a day trip was planned. Daughter A and Daughter E packed up the chilly bin with food and drinks - some of it not very healthy but it was to be a day of enjoyment and fun.

Gore Bay is a quiet little bay at this time of the year, a few batches, some houses, a camping ground, a few kids playing on the beach, a dog or two, a couple of surfers and our family of four. There are no shops of any description, its pretty laid back. During the summer it does get busy but is still quite small.
We ambled along the beach, talked and laughed, played silly games and enjoyed our time by the sea. Its a favourite spot with Daughter A and Daughter E, a spot they always ask to visit if a day trip is planned.

It is a beach with stones and driftwood but also further down the beach sand and rock pools can be found. It is a great place to explore especially when the tide is out.

A brilliant day out for our family of four :)
