Margaret Merril in Spring

The first spring rose decided it was tired of being a rosebud. It quietly opened its delicate petals to the sun and filled the air with its strong fragrance. It swayed elegantly in the gentle breeze while bumble bees buzzed around waiting for it to open some more.

Like the bumble bees I to have been waiting and eagerly watching. There are several buds on this bush and several more on other bushes, which was going to be the first spring rose - I didn't know.

Margaret Merril celebrates my very first spring rose on blip, there will be others but she is the first. Here she is back in Autumn.

Monday afternoon Daughter A has gone to work and Daughter E is home from school, hubby home today as the earthquake commission were round to have a look at our house. The damaged caused by the earthquake is minor compared to some but needs to be fixed. They will take care of this.

Pretty good Monday for our family - have a great week :)
