Damned Pylons

Didn't take a lot of photos today and had forgot about this one taken at lunchtime.

The two Munros here (Stuc a Chroin and Ben Vorlich) were looking particularly wintery and the light was perfect as I stopped to eat my Pink Jammie safely (danger of jam leakage trying to do that whilst driving).

Just a pity those damned pylons keep getting in the road. Even worse, they want to add more along this route. Soon, you might not be able to see the trees up on Ochil Hills there, behind which the Battle of Sherrifmuir took place (295 years ago on Saturday actually) between the armies of the Duke of Argyll and the Jacobites. The only thing marching down those slopes soon will be a line of 60m high electricity pylons.

This stop, combined with a longish detour to avoid a road block because of closed bridge meant I was cutting it fine for the afternoon shift. Almost tempted by a bit of good old fashioned truant I was.
