That Which Comes

On the ground a thin layer of snow and ice. Scattered grit and sand keep people on their feet. Long Johns hug legs. Hats and gloves and scarfs do their job of keeping us warm.

A summer is over.
A winter is arriving.

And everything turn, turn, turn...

I have lived on this earth for just over half a century.
I am still not used to it.

I am still waiting - in anticipation - for that which comes...
