Since 28th July 2010 my journal has been documenting the construction of a wind farm in the Terra Alta region of Catalunya, Spain. We own and live in a Mas (finca) which is on the line of the wind turbines, and will have two of the beasts within 300 metres of our home.

We're going back to the village house this morning to get a bit more work done, and we've been hanging about here at the Mas to see if they were going to put the second mast section up. Unfortunately not though (I don't know what they're playing at) so that may be tomorrow's blip. Our garden's in the foreground with our field, where I have the vegetable plot, just below it.

They seem to be jet-washing the blades every day. But why? They're not ready to put them up yet.
