Messiah

Well, what a cultured weekend we have had. After yesterday's Outing to Oz, we went to Dunblane Cathedral this evening to see a performance of Handel's Messiah.

It was the first time I had heard the piece all the way through. I don't think either of us had banked on it being 3 hours long and I felt a bit like a folded up deck chair after all that time sitting on a church pew. But, it was a good performance with great soloists and our friend's mum is in the choir.

Working from home tomorrow. Deliveries. So I might be ranting tomorrow afternoon!

Fingers crossed for the week ahead.

BTW - as you can see from the link above "The establishment of Messiah as a venerated English [read British] institution for Christmas and Choral Societies has a long and complicated history". Tradition :-)

LOTD: Panorama Pictures Sheep on a Dyke is a great sunset shot. Rich golden tones ... and the humour of sheep :-)
